San Jose Bicycle Club's Winter Series
The Winter Series is comprised of 11 events including time-trials, a hill climb, criteriums and three road rides. Events are open to members only. A season pass ($80) will be sold at the Prologue & ITT events only and represents significant savings over the single event price.
The Winter Series picnic will be held following the Prologue; enjoy a BBQ presented by SJBC & Sloughs Bike Shoppe.
Next Winter Series event is: the Banquet, 25 February
Awards to be given to: Category, Junior, Women, Overall, Time Trial, Scratch and Road competitions.
Club Membership: $40
Entry fee: $10 per event

A parent's signature on the release form is required.
Juniors will still need to sign in at each event.
Please Note: All events are conducted on open courses with vehicle traffic.
· ALL PARTICIPANTS MUST OBEY THE CALIFORNIA VEHICLE CODE AT ALL TIMES.
· Centerline rule will be strictly enforced at all events.
· Helmets are required anytime you are on the roadway before, during and after the event.
· In accordance with California Vehicle Code, ear buds and headphones are not allowed. If you are seen wearing them by either the Winter Series staff or volunteers, you will be disqualified for that day's event and no points will be awarded.
· Road Bikes Only.
· Everyone must sign the WINTERS SERIES RELEASE FORM to participate. One form per entire series.

Become a Winter Series Volunteer!
We are looking for volunteers to help run equipment, course marshal and be an extra set of eyes and ears for the Winter Series crew. Please fill out the Volunteer Form. If you have a spouse, girlfriend (or boyfriend!) or just a friend that would like to help out, we greatly appreciate it.
Winter Series Upgrade Rules:
The Winter Series Coordinator has the discretion to upgrade any rider that is dominating his/her category at any time during the season. When upgraded, the rider will lose 1/2 his/her category and overall points. Riders may request a voluntary upgrade, and if granted both overall and category points will be adjusted by 1/2.
To win the Overall Champion you must complete 7 of 11 events.
In order to win your Category Title you must complete 6 of 8 events.
To win the Road Champion you must complete 2 of 3 events.
To win the Time Trial champion you must complete 4 of 6 events.
To win the Scratch Trophy you must complete all 6 Time Trial events.
